Alumni Newsletter and Mailing Lists

Alumni can stay up-to-date on SDM news and events one of two ways — through the alumni newsletter or one of our alumni-specific mailing lists.

Alumni Newsletter

Distributed quarterly via the alumni mailing list, the newsletter provides a digest of current program news, upcoming alumni events, and community information.

If you are currently listed in the SDM Virtual Community, you should already be receiving the newsletter. You can also sign up for the newsletter directly.

To share your news or suggest a topic in the newsletter, send your updates to sdm-sharenews@mit.edu.

Join a Mailing List

There are three mailing lists available to the SDM alumni community — our primary alumni-specific mailing list and two regional lists. The regional lists are where we share news about local events in the Boston and San Francisco Bay areas. You can sign up or modify your subscription using the links below:

Local Connections

SDM alumni are welcome to join MIT’s regional alumni clubs, which are overseen by the main Alumni Association. These groups are located in cities and regions around the world and offer a range of activities and events. With over a hundred clubs on nearly every continent, we encourage you to visit the Alumni Clubs website.

We also host occasional events on and around campus in Cambridge, MA. Please make sure you are subscribed to our Boston-area mailing list, linked in the “Join a Mailing List” section above.

If you live outside the greater Boston area and would like to hold an event for SDM alumni, please contact Naomi Gutierrez at ngg@mit.edu.

Advance Your Career

If you are looking for career advancement, we are here to help. By opting-in to our job posting distribution list, SDM Jobs, you will receive a few postings a month from both recruiters who use the list to tap into our alumni for their open positions and SDM alumni looking to find other alums to join their organizations. Companies range from start-ups to major corporations such as Apple and Amazon.

If you are looking to send job postings to alumni or current students, please contact:

Manager, SDM Career Development

Support SDM

By donating to SDM you are providing key support in helping us attract the best candidates to the program, as donations are used primarily to fund scholarships for current students.

Contributions can be made online to one of the three funds:
