As an alum, you are a valuable part of the SDM community. We strive to create opportunities for you to remain engaged with program faculty, current students, research initiatives, top talent, and the broader MIT community.
There are several ways you can stay on top of what’s happening at SDM and keep in touch with fellow alums around the world.
SDM’s Virtual Community contains information for current students, alumni, and program affiliates. Use our database to find fellow alums and make sure your contact details are up-to-date.
Experience meaningful conversations and consultations with the broader MIT alumni community and current students in this space focused on career advising and networking.
MIT Infinite Connection is the primary space for connecting with MIT’s alumni all over the world. This online hub includes a directory of alumni and the MIT Alumni Job Board.
SDM alumni gain access to the Sloan Career Development Office after graduation, as well as other alumni opportunities typically available only to Sloan graduates.
Alumni of both the master’s and certificate programs are welcome to network and share information in our moderated LinkedIn group.
Alumni Newsletter and Mailing Lists
Alumni can stay up-to-date on SDM news and events one of two ways — through the alumni newsletter or one of our alumni-specific mailing lists.
Distributed quarterly via the alumni mailing list, the newsletter provides a digest of current program news, upcoming alumni events, and community information.
If you are currently listed in the SDM Virtual Community, you should already be receiving the newsletter. You can also sign up for the newsletter directly.
To share your news or suggest a topic in the newsletter, send your updates to firstname.lastname@example.org.
There are three mailing lists available to the SDM alumni community — our primary alumni-specific mailing list and two regional lists. You can sign up or modify your subscription using the links below:
Advance Your Career
If you are looking for career advancement, we are here to help. By opting-in to our job posting distribution list, SDM Jobs, you will receive a few postings a month from both recruiters who use the list to tap into our alumni for their open positions and SDM alumni looking to find other alums to join their organizations. Companies range from start-ups to major corporations such as Apple and Amazon.
If you are looking to send job postings to alumni or current students, please contact:
Manager, SDM Career Development
By donating to SDM you are providing key support in helping us attract the best candidates to the program, as donations are used primarily to fund scholarships for current students.
Contributions can be made online to one of the three funds:
- SDM Fellowship Fund — provide graduate student support, helping SDM to attract top talent
- SDM Women in System Design and Management (WiSDM) Fund — supports female SDM graduate students
- SDM Innovation Fund — provide long-term support for the SDM program
