Women in SDM (WiSDM) is a student-led organization, conceived by the women in MIT’s System Design and Management (SDM) program, whose mission is to empower female leaders and to enhance the ongoing learning experience for SDM students and alumnae. Through involvement in networking events, WiSDM charts the future in technology management.
Learn more about WiSDM, watch this informative video.
Many WiSDM members are leaders with experience in creating and managing technology, and they share the unique responsibilities of being advanced career professionals who are pursuing graduate education while raising families and/or working in industry full time. The flexibility of the SDM program attracts these professional women, and WiSDM is charged with creating the support that is needed to achieve balance at work, school, and home.
Although the interests of WiSDM stem from the diverse backgrounds of its members, WiSDM welcomes everyone in the MIT community to learn more about the group and to attend its events. To learn more about WiSDM, the SDM program, or to attend an event or class, please contact wisdm@mit.edu.
