"The problems that exist in the world today cannot be solved by the level of thinking that created them." Albert Einstein
Systems thinking is rapidly being adopted as a way to address the world’s most pressing problems - energy and the environment; healthcare; product safety; new business models for traditional and non-traditional companies that serve an increasingly competitive and global community.
Each of these complex challenges - indeed most, if not all, of the pressing issues facing today’s world - require a new way of thinking, working, and leading that incorporates disciplines formerly seen as separate or at best, linked. A holistic view that integrates technology, management and social sciences is essential to the success of business and the survival of the planet.
MIT has carefully chosen the speakers in this conference not only for their expertise in addressing complex systems challenges but also for leading the implementation of the day-to-day tasks that sustain and strengthen this holistic approach. During this two day conference, Systems Thinking for Contemporary Challenges, MIT professors and industry experts will each share on the following:
There will be ample time for Q&A with the speakers and networking with executives attending the conference to discuss the approaches offered.
