SDM is designed so that students can explore MIT’s vast, diverse academic offerings and design customized programs that maximize their investment in an MIT education.
To achieve this, all SDM fellows work closely with the program director to customize programs to support their professional goals. Together they develop a custom slate of electives that supplements SDM’s required courses in systems thinking and builds upon the student’s educational background and work experience.
Areas SDM fellows have pursued include aerospace systems development, automotive systems, information technology, software engineering, biological engineering, financial services, supply chain management, consumer electronics, media technology and nanotechnology.
