It feels a bit premature to be writing for Spring while the latest storm bears down on much of the country and Cambridge. So, I'll take a moment to reflect back on January.
This year's class is a bright bunch of diverse individuals. We welcomed 56 new fellows, plus five '2nd major' matriculating students (43 Male — 13 Female). There are 23 company-sponsored (not counting Navy students) and 33 self sponsored or partially-sponsored. Half are 24-month students (14 are "distance" and 14 are "commuter") with the other 28 starting as 13-16 month full-time, on-campus students. We admitted citizens of: Canada, Chile, China, India, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore, Spain, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States, Venezuela with an average work experience of about 10 years.
It would be wonderful to see some of you at our business trip week events on Wednesday and Thursday. Please see below for details.
Hopefully, we'll all be putting our shovels away and planting our gardens very soon!
